Stand with us against hatred this Wednesday

Friends, WILL YOU JOIN US?
On Wednesday, Aug. 16 at 5:00 PM, we will come together against organized hate crimes and in solidarity with Charlottesville, VA. While there will be no formal program, please bring a candle or light. You are invited to read a quote or short poem.

This is a quick, visible action — only a half hour of your week to make a statement of solidarity against white supremacists and hateful violence.

In Powell, we’ll gather near the bandshell in Washington Park; in Cody, the site is on Sheridan Ave. in front of the City Park. Meeteetse, Worland, Greybull and other towns, please gather in your towns to denounce hatred.

Please spread the word!

  1. Perhaps we ALL need to call our representatives.

  2. Is there something I can do to help with this? Thank you.

    • Yes Janine! Call a few people and ask each of them to call a few people. This is a semi-spontaneous action and we need to spread it word-of-mouth. Signs and banners disavowing hatred and racism are welcome. We will only be there from 5:00 t 5:30 Wednesday. In Powell at the bandshell at Washington Park. In Cody at City Park on the corner of Sheridan and 10th. – Renee
