2018 Key Election Dates
If you did not vote in the last general election, November 2016, you should check with your county clerk to verify that your voter registration is still current.
August 21 – Primary Election
November 6 – General Election
Registration:
August 6 – Primary Election Voter Registration Closes. However voters may register and vote in the primary at their polling places on Primary Election day.
October 22 – General Election Voter Registration Closes. Hoever voters may register and vote at their polling places on General Election day.
Absentee Voting:
Absentee ballots may be requested at any time in 2018 prior to the day of an election.
July 6 to August 21 – Absentee voting in Primary Election
September 21 to November 6 – Absentee voting in General Election
Candidates:
May 17 to June 1 – Candidate Filing Period
August 20 – Minor and Provisional Party Candidate Deadline
August 27 – Independent Candidate Deadline (5,176 signatures required for statewide races)
Initiative (including the Wyoming Promise initiative)
February 9, 2018 – Filing Deadline
October 2018 – Submission Deadline to be on General Election ballot in November (39,000 signatures of registered Wyoming voters must be submitted).
