The public is invited to the 11th annual Return to Foretop’s Father
July 23-24, 2021
Foretop’s Father, the Crow name for Heart Mountain, is the setting for the 11th annual gathering. This year celebrates the life of Grant Bulltail, Crow elder, pipe lighter, and recipient of the National Endowment of the Arts Division of Folk and Traditional Arts award. Grant Bulltail performed the ceremony at Heart Mountain yearly since 2010, when The Nature Conservancy gave the tribe access to this spiritual landmark.
View the short documentary, “Return to Foretop’s Father,” about Heart Mountain and Grant’s life.
