2025 Legislative Action – Health Care

Harmful anti-abortion bills are scheduled to be heard by committee WEDNESDAY Jan 22.

Here’s what you need to know.

The 2025 Legislative session is in full swing and two critical anti-abortion bills will be heard by the House Labor Committee NEXT Wednesday, January 22 at 8:00am. HB 0042– Regulation of Surgical Abortion and HB 0064 – Chemical Abortions- Ultrasound Requirement will be heard by the House Labor, Health and Social Services Committee.

WHEN: Wednesday, January 22, 2025 8:00am MST

WHERE: House Labor, Health & Social Services, Capitol Extension, Cheyenne, WY

Let’s be clear: These anti-abortion bills would do nothing to protect anyone’s health or safety. They would harm people in need of care.

Anti-abortion politicians behind bills like these are trying to grow the government and insert themselves between Wyoming women, their families, their doctors and their faith. “One-size fits all” laws with NO basis in the standard of care have NO place in deeply personal health decisions that are best left to individuals and medical professionals.
