Over 300 people from around northwestern Wyoming descended upon City Park last week for the second No Kings protest in six months.

The event, hosted by the Park County Democrats in conjunction with the unaffiliated Wyoming Rising, was held in response to the citizenry’s dissatisfaction with the federal government.

“People feel the need to protest when the policies and actions of our government makes them uncomfortable, fearful, angry, or directly threatens them,” said Ann Pasek, the Park county Democratic chair. “Protests will stop when the government listens and responds.”

Coordinating protests across the nation, Pasek said, “amplifies the message and provides networking.”

In all, the Cody protest was one of 2,700 No Kings rallies nationwide with an estimated 7 million people attending.

Over 300 people gathered in Cody City Park to protest the President’s abuse of power.
